Just finished reading „Start with Why“ by Simon Sinek © 2009 and captured my 3 key takeaways:

Firstly, the „old world“ approach of „carrot and sticks“ or „command and control“ doesn’t work anymore (as Stephen M.R. Covey states in his book “Trust and Inspire” © 2022, Simon & Schuster UK Ltd).

Secondly, an inspiring leader should bring the „why or vision“ while the practical person partners to bring the „how or mission“ to run things practically.

Lastly, the culture of values must be built on the „why,“ or deterioration sets in.
